Privacy Policy

CINP provides an interactive environment on the Internet to enable information technology professionals to find, use and share the information they need to do their jobs better and more efficiently. We recognize and support the need to protect the privacy of our members through disclosure of our practices for collection and use of member information.

In general, you can visit CINP web sites and access information without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. In some circumstances we will ask you to provide us with certain personal information, such as when you ask to be added to our mailing list.

CINP will not disclose your personal information for marketing purposes to any third party company, without your consent. In some cases, CINP links directly to a third party site, for the purpose of providing you some services, and in these situations, the privacy policy for that site is in effect, and it may differ from CINP's privacy policy. We encourage all of our third parties to implement policies and practices that respect the privacy of our users. However, CINP is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites. CINP's purpose for gathering the information is to understand you better and to make you aware of new products or opportunities in which you may be interested.

CINP will not collect information from people who identify themselves as being under 18 years of age. CINP encourages parents to take an active role in their children's use of the Internet. Several software packages are available to help parents actively manage their family's use. People under 18 years of age may request mailed or other information from CINP by having their parents submit the request.

CINP may use "cookie" technology only to obtain non-personal information from its on-line visitors to improve the on-line experience. Cookies allow us to understand who has seen which pages and ads, to determine how often particular pages are visited, and to track the most popular areas. Cookies also allow us to make our sites more convenient to use by, for example, allowing us to save your password so that you do not have to reenter it each time you visit a CINP site. A cookie will NOT permit a website operator to learn any personally identifying information about you, such as your real name or address, unless you have previously provided that information to the website operator or you have set the preferences in your browser to provide this information. If you do not wish to have a "cookie" set when visiting the CINP web sites, you may alter the settings in your browser to prevent them. You will then be alerted each time a "cookie" is being sought and opt whether or not you wish to allow one to be set. This alert will show you how the cookie is being used and how long the information will be retained.

You can help CINP to maintain the accuracy of your information by notifying CINP of any change to your address, title, phone number, or e-mail address. All of the information gathered by CINP will be available to you at the Mailing List web page.

Please note that we review our privacy practices from time to time, and that such practices are subject to change. We ask that our visitors periodically review this page to ensure familiarity with the most current version of our privacy statement. If you have any questions or comments about our privacy practices, you can contact us at: info@cinp.net.
